Jonathon George

Jon (“JG”) is a Vice President at Flare Capital Partners, bringing nine years of experience across healthcare strategy, operations, and venture capital.

He focuses on investments at the intersection of healthcare delivery, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Prior to joining Flare Capital, Jon began his career in management consulting at Strategy& and Chartis, advising leading health systems on enterprise strategy and operations. At Strategy&, he also advised private equity clients across the healthcare and technology sectors.

Jon serves on the Steering Committee for CancerX, a national public-private partnership focused on advancing innovation in cancer care. He previously served on the boards of the Lurie Children’s Hospital Research Fund, the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, and the UChicago Children’s Associate Cancer Board.

Jon earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management as a Harry Brown Scholar, where he helped co-develop the school’s digital health curriculum alongside the Executive Director of Healthcare. He received his Bachelor of Science with Honors from Penn State University.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys playing soccer (having competed nationally for over 15 years), hiking (he highly recommends the Pacific Northwest!), skiing, snowboarding, and exploring the outdoors.
