Emily Queen is a recent Master of Public Health (MPH) graduate from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a New Ventures Lead at Healthworx Studio, where she builds healthcare businesses from 0 to 1. She is motivated by startups and funding models that advance public–private partnerships and value-based care for populations underserved by the U.S. healthcare system. Her MPH capstone combined a narrative review and market investigation of AI-enabled solutions for social benefits navigation.
Prior to Healthworx, Emily led a longevity startup within Northwestern Mutual’s innovation team. She began her career in mental health as a data analyst and strategist at Quartet Health and the global nonprofit citiesRISE.
Outside of work, Emily is a runner and podcast listener, which led her to help found The Slowdown media company and produce its first podcast series in 2018. She is passionate about community building and volunteered on the board of Pepper NYC.
