Pooja Aysola is a second-year MBA candidate at MIT Sloan School of Management and a practicing Emergency Physician with a passion for improving healthcare through innovation and technology.
She completed her medical degree and residency at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, where she was the President of the Association of Residents at McGill and the Site Chief Resident for her institution. Her experiences with the single-payer system in Canada were instrumental in her desire to realign incentives in the U.S. healthcare system and motivated her to create change in healthcare. Prior to her MBA, Pooja served as the Director of ER Quality for her hospital and was a faculty member at Brown University Alpert School of Medicine. At MIT Sloan, she is a McGowan Scholar and is pursuing a Certificate in Business Analytics. She currently serves as the Co-President of the Sloan Healthcare Club, and is the Teaching Assistant for the Dean and President Emerita. Over the summer, she worked at Buoy Health, an AI healthcare startup that is redesigning healthcare navigation. She also advises several early-stage startups in the digital health space. She earned an Honors BA in Biological Sciences and Liberal Studies from the University of Delaware.Back To Team
