Nei-Kuan Chia is a Senior Director of Corporate Strategy and Investments for Cox Enterprises, a privately held, 4th generation family-owned company, generating over $20B in yearly revenue as one of the nation’s leading media, communications companies and providers of automotive services.
Nei-Kuan is responsible for CEI strategic initiatives and M&A support and he also leads CEI’s venture investment process and portfolio management. He is also a board member of two fast-growing early stage companies in the ad tech and marketing tech sectors.
Nei-Kuan joined Cox in 2013 as Senior Director of Corporate Development at CMG and moved over to CEI in 2017. Prior to joining Cox, Nei-Kuan spent 6 years as the Director of Special Projects at CNN, the leading global news provider, where he focused on strategy, investments and M&A. Nei-Kuan started his business career in venture capital in Tampa, Florida at Catalyst Ventures followed by a three-year stint as a strategy consultant at Deloitte Consulting where he focused on the telecom, media and entertainment industries.
Outside of work, Nei-Kuan is a world-ranked competitive swimmer who recently captured two gold medals at the 2019 World Masters Swimming Championships in South Korea and a three-time Asian Championships gold medalist. He is also a former two-time Olympian for his native country of Taiwan, a former Masters World Record holder and a two-time YMCA National record holder. He also is an active supporter of Swim Across America, a non-profit that raises funding for pediatric cancer research, where he serves on the Olympian board.
Nei-Kuan earned his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Florida State University as well as a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Florida. Nei-Kuan is also an MBA recipient from Emory University.Back To Team
