Michael focuses on thoughtful healthcare innovation.
He joined UPMC Enterprises, UPMC’s innovation and investment arm, in 2019. In his current role, Michael partners with healthcare startups and UPMC stakeholders to bring digital healthcare technology and services to the health system. He manages deal flow for provider-side and payer-side opportunities and works with the Enterprises technical development teams on novel software development. Of particular interest to him is innovation in the senior care space and new models of care delivery. Prior to his current role, Michael has consulted for the Kaiser Permanente, Allegheny Health Network, and the Jewish Healthcare Foundation on innovation strategy, investment due diligence, and technology implementation.
Michael earned his Masters in Health Care Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University and his Bachelors of Science in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. Michael is a Pittsburgh native, enjoys fishing, golfing, and aquarium keeping.Back To Team
