Matthew is an MD-PhD student at Weill Cornell Medicine in the entering class of 2017.
He is currently working on his PhD in Dr. Olivier Elemento’s lab where he applies artificial intelligence to real world data to predict various health outcomes. Specifically, Matthew’s thesis project uses machine learning methods to predict alcohol misuse in older adults. During medical school, Matthew took time off to work as a Lead Clinical Data Analyst for Flatiron Health. In this role, Matthew worked alongside pharmaceutical companies to use real world data to support regulatory submission to the FDA. Beyond his studies, Matthew co-founded and is the co-executive director of the Weill Cornell Medicine Wellness Qlinic, a mental health clinic that provides free services to LGBTQ+ individuals in New York City. In his spare time, Matthew enjoys playing soccer, where he is the president of the New York Ramblers, the oldest LGBTQ+ soccer club in the world. He earned his B.A. from Columbia University in 2016 with degrees in Biology and Mathematics.Back To Team
