Mairin Jerse

Mairin is a first year MBA student at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business studying entrepreneurship and behavioral science.

After graduating from Marquette University with a double major in Information Technology and Finance, Mairin completed a two year digital technology leadership rotational program at GE Healthcare, during which she took on roles such as full stack software developer, project manager, and technical product manager. After the two year program, she led the development and  deployment of globally distributed applications used by GE Healthcare field engineers and product managers. She left the corporate world in 2021 to engage her interest in startups and entrepreneurship before heading to business school, where she plans on working on her own healthcare startup. She took on a pre-MBA internship with Care+Wear, a New York based startup that creates innovative and fashion-forward healthwear clothing and a second role at a Milwaukee-based startup, Washbnb, during their time in the Atlanta Techstars accelerator.  She has always had an interest in healthcare technology, and is excited to be working on a reproductive healthcare startup idea, which she hopes to launch with her co-founder in 2022. She loves connecting with people who are interested in startup ideas, meditation and wellness,  and entrepreneurship.
