Lalli Akurati is an Administrative Fellow at Allina Health, under the mentorship of Dr. Penny Wheeler, CEO of Allina Health.
Allina is a not-for-profit health care system that is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of illness and enhancing the greater health of individuals, families and communities throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin. As a Fellow, Lalli is involved in supporting and leading a variety of projects involving care management, population health strategy and improving patient transitions to their next levels of care. Prior to Allina, Lalli developed a passion for population health during her twelve month internship at Advocate Aurora health’s Enterprise Population Health department in Chicago, Illinois. Lalli supported the data analysis and management of the Bundled Payments for Care Improvement Advanced (BPCIA) program and worked closely with the value based programs team that focused on programs for full risk patients. Lalli earned her Masters of Healthcare Administration program from the University of Illinois at Chicago. During her MHA program, Lalli was highly active and participated in three case competitions where her teams placed in first at the 2019 National Clarion Interprofessional Case Competition and second place at the 2018 National Association of Health Service Executives Case Competition. Lalli is a recipient of the 2020 ACHE Administrative Fellow Leadership Award and the 2020 University of Illinois at Chicago’s MHA Capstone of the Year Award. Lalli is excited to continue her fellowship journey and pursue a career in population health.Back To Team
