Emir Sandhu

Emir is in the final year of Diagnostic Radiology residency training at Stanford University. In addition to practicing medicine, Emir has worked on several initiatives as a consultant at Google.

Prior to Stanford, Emir was a co-founder of OpenBiome, a nonprofit company which has treated over 35,000 patients suffering from C. difficile colitis. During the Obama administration, Emir worked in the Department of Health and Human Services, implementing a $250 million grant program for large-scale utilization of health IT to improve healthcare quality and safety. Emir was a Morehead-Cain Scholar at The University of North Carolina and completed a BA with honors in Economics. Emir subsequently earned an MD from Harvard Medical School and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Emir completed his first year of residency at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and is now finishing his specialization in Radiology at Stanford.
