Debashish Sasmal is a Senior Product Manager with the Digital Solutions team at UPMC Enterprises.
In his current role, Mr. Sasmal leads the investment and commercialization of digital health innovations that advance the healthcare delivery ecosystem. Debashish primarily manages the deal flow for provider-side opportunities where he closely partners with healthcare startups and UPMC stakeholders to evaluate, validate and accelerate growth by developing purposeful partnerships. He is particularly interested in innovations in new care delivery models and cognitive and behavioral health.
Before UPMC Enterprises, Mr. Sasmal served in product management, product development, and software engineering roles at InsideView (A demandable company, CRM-Intelligence domain), leading the data engineering teams to develop and manage the data platform. Before InsideView, Debashish served in engineering roles at Oracle, developing a real-estate product, and at Infosys, creating the web portal and UX design for a US telecom client.
Debashish graduated with Bachelor’s in Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (Summa cum laude) and earned his Master’s in Product Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. Debashish is an avid fan of Formula 1 and Tennis.
