David Velasquez

David is a 4th-year medical student at Harvard and a 2nd-year MBA/MPP student at Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

During medical school, he served on the legislative committee of the Massachusetts Medical Society, created a health literacy-focused community partnership between New England’s largest Spanish newspaper outlet and Harvard Medical School, and worked on a hospital initiative to improve health care delivery for persons experiencing homelessness. He has since explored the intersection of health care delivery and equity through research and his work at MassHealth, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, GOTVax (a nonprofit focused on covid-19 vaccine equity), and the White House Office of Public Engagement. David is currently a fellow at Town Hall Ventures. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Human Biology, and ultimately hopes to understand the public and private sector intricacies of health care delivery and equity while treating patients on the frontline.
