Cameron Carter is the Manager of Supplemental Benefits at Bright Health, a health insurance plan based in Minneapolis, MN.
In his role, Cameron is responsible for innovation ideation and execution across Bright’s enterprise product portfolio. Cameron oversees Bright’s national supplemental benefit strategy and services including telemedicine, transportation, behavioral health, home delivered meals, among other services. Outside of Bright, Cameron is involved in the healthcare startup community in the Midwest. He serves as an Advisor at the accelerator gener8tor Minnesota.
Prior to Bright Health, Cameron worked on the Product Innovation and Commercialization team at Evolent Health (NYSE: EVH), a value-based care technology company based in Arlington, VA. At Evolent, Cameron focused on the strategic design and implementation of new technologies and business ventures to enhance Evolent’s SaaS and clinical services product portfolio. Cameron previously worked at Truven Health Analytics (acquired by IBM Watson Health) as a management consultant, advising healthcare payers and self-funded plans. His projects included building a web-based direct enrollment tools for large employer plans, modeling Affordable Care Act tax policy impact on self-funded plans, and designing benefit packages to reduce healthcare spending for early-stage startups.
Cameron earned a B.S. in Exercise Science (Pre-Medicine) from Colorado State University, where he was a four-year letterman for the Men’s Track and Field team. He earned his M.S. in Applied Physiology from University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where he was Assistant Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field program.Back To Team
