Ariana is a second year MBA student at The Wharton School majoring in Health Care Management.
At Wharton, Ariana is a President of the Wharton Health Care Club and works to provide professional and community building opportunities for its over 300 members. She is also the recipient of several fellowships including the Joseph Wharton Fellowship, Kissick Health Care Alumni Scholarship, and Morgenthau Public Policy Fellowship.
During her time at Wharton, Ariana worked as an intern at Independence Blue Cross on the Medical Cost Transformation team, where she sourced, valued, and built business cases for utilization management and payment optimization opportunities to decrease medical cost, by ensuring care delivery in most cost-effective setting, reducing unwarranted variation, abuse, and waste. Prior to Wharton, Ariana spent two and half years at Optum in the group that was formerly Humedica. As a senior client manager, she managed over $14M of provider accounts, including some of the nation’s largest health care systems. She managed both the technical implementation process and helped clients use their data to better understand their patient populations, identify opportunities for improved quality of care, track and achieve operational efficiencies, and transition from fee-for-service to value-based payment models.
Ariana started her career in consulting at Putnam Associates where she focused commercialization strategy for pharmaceutical companies. She earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a minor in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.Back To Team
