Dr. Andrew Becker is a physician joining Brigham and Women’s Hospital and member of the faculty at Harvard Medical School.
An anesthesiologist by training, Andrew is currently completing residency in the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania where he also earned combined MD and MPH degrees. During his time at Penn, Andrew served as a Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics and was a consultant at Cigna’s CareAllies. He has led research engagements and published on multiple topics, including the economic drivers of care during Covid-19, home-based care investments in Medicare Advantage, and the effects of the Social Determinants of Health on readmissions. Andrew grew up in Buffalo, NY in a family of physicians and Buffalo Bills fans.
