Amelia De Paola is a first-year student at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she focuses her studies on entrepreneurship, healthcare, and finance.
Amelia began her career working as an Emergency Medical Technician in Washington, DC, where her experiences as a provider inspired a passion for redefining the way care is financed and delivered. Upon completing her undergraduate degree, Amelia advised foreign aid organizations on communications and advocacy at Global Health Strategies, conducted health education work in the Dominican Republic as a Princeton in Latin America Fellow, and drove analytics and communications efforts at One Heart Worldwide, a maternal health nonprofit based in Nepal. Amelia then returned to the US as an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) consultant at Malk Partners, where she developed diligence frameworks on private equity and venture investments in healthcare and ethical artificial intelligence. Immediately before starting her MBA, Amelia worked as an Investment Analyst at SteelSky Ventures, an early-stage fund investing to improve access, care, and outcomes in women’s health.
During her MBA, Amelia is pursuing the Healthcare Certificate through the MIT Sloan Health Systems Initiative while also leading the Speakers and Panels Team for the Sloan Healthcare and BioInnovations Conference. She also sits on the Junior Board of Shatterproof, a national nonprofit dedicated to transforming addiction treatment, ending stigma, and supporting affected communities. Amelia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Linguistics with a minor in Science, Technology, and International Affairs at Georgetown University.Back To Team
