Amanda O’Malley

Amanda is a second-year student at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and McCormick School of Engineering, where she is pursuing herĀ MBA + MS in Design Innovation, a dual degree thatĀ focuses on product management and human-centered design thinking.

Amanda began her career at IBM Watson advising 30+ startups on integrating IBM’s early-stage enterprise AI technologies, such as natural language processing and machine learning, into their products and building partnerships. Following her interest in healthcare, she joined Watson Health, IBM’s new healthcare unit, and worked on building Watson Health’s first reseller partnership and scaling AI-enabled software products in the drug discovery and oncology clinical decision support markets. During the summer of 2020, she interned with the Apple Watch product team to conduct cross-functional product strategy work and support the global launch of the Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE. Currently, Amanda is a product management intern at Kalderos, a Chicago-based Series B startup focused on introducing transparency to the drug discount management space. At Kellogg, Amanda serves as the Marketing chair of Kellogg’s annual Business of Healthcare Conference.
