Alex has long been driven by his passion for the intersection of medicine and technology, and he aims to combine this with his expertise in public health.
Before starting medical school, Alex contributed to global health engagements and bio-surveillance as a Public Health Fellow at U.S. Southern Command’s Office of the Command Surgeon. He has also investigated the potential healthcare burden of blockchain on patients and healthcare stakeholders with Kapalina Labs. Alex is currently researching smartphone-application based patient reported outcome measures. He has published several reports of various topics that include translational epidemiology, community health, and mental health. Alex is the Co-founder of PocketDoc, a digital health navigator designed for patients’ post-operative journey. Originally from Miramar, Florida, Alex graduated from Nova Southeastern University studying Biology and Bioinformatics.
