Vanessa Baillie is a Principal Associate on Medtronic’s Corporate Development team. In this role, Vanessa helps shape the company’s inorganic growth strategy by supporting deal flow across Medtronic’s operating units. Her responsibilities include assessing opportunities and risks of proposed transactions, performing detailed financial analysis, leading due diligence efforts, and evaluating alignment with Medtronic’s strategic objectives.
Prior to her current role, Vanessa worked in R&D at Cardinal Health as both an engineer and project manager across a variety of product lines. Notable projects include accelerating new product launches to expand PPE production in response to COVID-19 supply shortages and leading the successful launch of a novel surgical incise drape through a commercial partnership.
Vanessa holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She currently lives in Minneapolis with her fiancé, Jullian, and their two cats, Zuko and Goose.
