Todd Ponsky is Chief Innovation Officer at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where he leads innovation strategy across clinical, research, and operational domains. In this role, he works to identify and accelerate transformative ideas from across the institution and beyond—bridging frontline insights, technology, and partnerships to improve outcomes in pediatric care.
A board-certified pediatric surgeon, educator, and entrepreneur, Todd brings over two decades of experience at the intersection of medicine, digital health, and academic leadership. He is recognized for pioneering efforts in minimally invasive pediatric surgery, as well as founding several digital platforms—such as GlobalCastMD and Stay Current MD—that have reshaped how medical knowledge is shared worldwide.
Prior to his current role, Todd served as Director of Clinical Growth and Transformation at Cincinnati Children’s and held multiple academic appointments, including Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics. His work focuses on democratizing access to surgical expertise, advancing real-time knowledge exchange, and driving cross-disciplinary collaboration. He is the author of more than 140 peer-reviewed publications and several surgical textbooks, and he frequently speaks on innovation in pediatric healthcare, AI in surgery, and the future of global medical education.
Todd earned his MD from Case Western Reserve University and completed general surgery and pediatric surgery training in Washington, D.C.
