Tito Porras is a sixth-year neurosurgery resident at Johns Hopkins and a first-year MBA candidate at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. He is pursuing NIH-funded research at the intersection of neurosurgery, surgical education, artificial intelligence, and robotics. Tito is the founder of a startup resulting from a collaboration with computer science colleagues to improve the operating room using artificial intelligence. He is also working with a surgical robotics company to conduct a first-in-human neurosurgical pilot and to develop novel surgical navigation methods. Tito graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and obtained his medical degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. When not spending time with family, you might find Tito trying a new outdoor activity (most recently cycling), at a concert, or exploring new restaurants.
