Timothy Howe

Assistant Vice President, Health Care Strategy and Investments

Tim joined Cox in 2016 and is responsible for leading health care strategy and investments for both Cox Enterprises and Socium Ventures. Investment areas of focus include digital health and evolving business models towards outcomes and aligned incentives across payors, providers and patients. He has led investments in Centivo, Enlace Health, Iora Health, Motivo Health, Rialtic, and WithMe Health, and represents Cox at the board level for each of the portfolio companies.

Cox Enterprises is a global company with approximately 50,000 employees and $20 billion in revenue. Cox remains a values-driven private corporation that can invest in long-term growth and is proud of its fourth-generation family leadership.

Before joining Cox, Tim spent 15 years with General Electric. As an executive, he focused on strategy, corporate development, and business operations across the portfolio globally. In healthcare, he was responsible for global strategy in GE Healthcare’s eHealth Solutions group. He led a team working with the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia to define the Kingdom’s e-health strategy to track value and outcomes of its citizens. Later, he had responsibility for healthcare IT/eHealth strategy and inorganic growth in China.

Tim graduated from Babson College, is an Aspen Institute First Mover Fellow, and a black belt in Lean Six Sigma.
