MIT Sloan School of Management

Tej Mehta is pursuing his MBA at MIT Sloan. He is most passionate about helping individuals with developmental disabilities and serious mental illnesses access care, inspired by his journey raising his sister Shivani and witnessing the systemic barriers families face. To address these challenges, Tej is building a startup focused on simplifying long-term care navigation for these individuals and their caregivers. Most recently, Tej was a founding member of Multiverse’s US business, a startup accelerating apprenticeships as an alternative to college for individuals without degrees. He worked cross-functionally across product, growth, strategy, and operations to scale revenues from $0 to $XXM and grow the team from 4 to 158 in just two years. Before that, as a strategy consultant at Deloitte, Tej advised enterprises and nonprofits across sectors on solving their growth and operational challenges. Tej also serves on Upwardly Global’s Leadership Council, helping immigrants transition from survival-wage roles into family-sustaining careers, and previously co-founded Main Street Relief, a nonprofit that supported small businesses during the pandemic. Tej graduated from Boston College in 2015 with a BA in Economics and International Studies. In his free time, Tej loves dancing, attending concerts and the theater, traveling the world, and wandering around NYC.
