Tara Sullivan
Tara Sullivan is a Senior Associate at Flare Capital Partners. Before joining Flare Capital, Tara incubated seed stage healthcare startups at Redesign Health. As a Director on the New Ventures team, she supported new business ideation, investment diligence, and partnered with founding teams on go to market strategy.
Prior to Redesign, Tara drove operations and strategic planning work for Flatiron Health, where she partnered with senior management on annual strategy development and led cross-functional initiatives with business, technical, and operational teams. Tara’s experience at Flatiron gives her deep perspectives on scaling operations and measuring success for growing health tech companies.
Tara began her career as a consultant at Putnam Associates where she advised pharmaceutical clients on commercialization and market access strategies.
Tara earned a BA from McGill University with a major in Economics and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with majors in Health Care Management and Entrepreneurship. While at Wharton she received the Robert D. Eilers award for commitment to innovation in healthcare and service to the community. Tara brings additional experience in early stage investing from her role as a Venture Partner with Contrary Capital.
A Boston native, Tara loves running in the city and has completed the Boston Marathon twice as a member of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team. She typically runs to the tune of a podcast on economics, entrepreneurship, or pop culture, and is always keen to trade recent favorites.
