Sara Hoffman

MIT Sloan

Sara Hoffman is a second-year MBA student at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she is a VCx Fellow and Dean’s Fellow. She is also the Director of AI Initiatives at Harvard Medical School, where she leads strategy and education efforts focused on the responsible application of artificial intelligence across healthcare. Prior to Sloan, Sara spent several years at PathAI, where she worked across biomedical data management, business intelligence, and biopharma partnerships. In these roles, she partnered closely with biopharma executives to scale AI-enabled pathology solutions, drove commercial strategy and business development, and supported product and market expansion. This summer, Sara was a Summer Associate at Bain & Company, supporting diligence and value creation efforts for bioanalytical testing companies. During her time at Sloan, Sara also works part-time as an Associate at Rock Health Capital, where she supports investments in digital health and evaluates early-stage healthcare technology companies. She is passionate about applying AI to improve healthcare delivery, accelerating the translation of technical innovation into real-world impact, and supporting founders building in complex, regulated markets. Originally from Maine, Sara earned her undergraduate degree in computer science from Colby College, with a concentration in pre-medical studies. Outside of work and school, she enjoys traveling, skiing, and solving New York Times Games.
