Rob Purinton is the Chief AI Officer at AdventHealth, where he leads the organization’s enterprise AI strategy, driving innovation, governance, and the responsible deployment of advanced technologies to enhance patient care and operational excellence.
Since joining AdventHealth in 2005, Rob has served in multiple strategic roles spanning analytics, quality, and technology. In 2010, he led systemwide accreditation readiness for the nation’s largest hospital, overseeing AdventHealth’s successful transition from The Joint Commission to DNV accreditation.
As Vice President of Analytics & Performance Improvement, he advanced large-scale Lean transformation initiatives and quality improvement programs that helped AdventHealth Orlando become the largest U.S. hospital to earn ISO 9001 certification, a 5-Star CMS rating, and sustained “A” Leapfrog safety grades.
In 2023, Rob established AdventHealth’s Clinical AI Advisory Board, convening national experts across healthcare and industry to accelerate the safe, scalable adoption of AI. His leadership has positioned AdventHealth as a collaborator with leading national initiatives, including CHAI, TRAIN, and ARPA-H PRECISE AI.
Rob holds degrees in computer science, healthcare administration, and strategic management, and is currently enrolled in MIT’s Chief Technology Officer program. He is a passionate advocate for ethical innovation and a lifelong learner committed to transforming care through technology.
