Rebecca Sostek

Rebecca is a first-year MBA student at MIT Sloan School of Management, pursuing certificates in Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Healthcare. Prior to Sloan, she spent six years at McKinsey & Company leading projects across healthcare subsectors and clients, including provider performance improvement, payor strategy, public health initiatives, and private equity investments. During her tenure, she also completed a secondment at Mount Sinai Health System, where she focused on scaling the system’s value-based care practice. Rebecca works part time as a Venture Associate at Pillar VC, where she supports early-stage startup evaluations and organizes healthcare-focused events. She is passionate about advancing healthcare innovation, optimizing operations and care delivery models, and expanding access to high-quality care. Originally from Texas, Rebecca earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where she led campus wide women’s health and safety initiatives and worked on multiple start-ups. Outside of school, she enjoys running and hiking, traveling, and spending time with her dog.
