Neel is a final year medical student at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. After graduating, Neel will begin orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Langone Orthopedics. Neel’s healthcare experience began at the University of Pennsylvania’s Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics and Penn Medicine Center for Healthcare Innovation. Neel also worked at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in the Division of New Technology and interned at The Vistria Group, where he worked on impact investing and regulatory policy, with a focus on healthcare.
At NYU Grossman, Neel served as student council president and co-founded NYU Advance, an organization that connects medical trainees with opportunities through lecture series and partnerships with NYU Stern incubators. As a surgical trainee at NYU’s MedTech Pipeline Surgical Innovation Program, Neel is part of a team working to commercialize a device addressing a key need in minimally invasive surgery. Neel has presented at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and has published in a number of peer reviewed journals.
Neel graduated summa cum laude with a degree in neuroscience and minors in healthcare management and chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and was an Ivy league champion on the lightweight rowing team. In his free time, Neel enjoys exploring NYC’s food scene, cycling, and relaxing by the water.
