Matt Stein serves as Chief Information Officer for Medical Mutual, where he leads the enterprise technology strategy that supports the Company’s mission of delivering high-value and exceptional experiences for members and providers. Stein joined Medical Mutual in 2011 as Director of Enterprise Technology Development and Innovation and later served as Vice President of that area before being named Chief Information Officer.
As Chief Information Officer, Stein oversees the technology organization responsible for internal business systems, digital platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity, integration services, workflow automation, AI and enterprise data and analytics. He has guided the adoption of emerging technologies such as robotic process automation and modern integration platforms and has played a key role in significant system replacements across enrollment, care management, customer service and claims.
Before joining Medical Mutual, Stein served as Vice President of Technology at American Greetings Interactive. He has previously held technology and leadership roles with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and IBM Global Services.
Stein earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a major in computer engineering and a minor in artificial intelligence from Case Western Reserve University. He has served in volunteer leadership roles with Summit Choral Society, College Now Greater Cleveland and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Ohio Buckeye Chapter.
