Margaret is a Principal at Flare Capital Partners. Margaret is a Board Member at Visana Health, Board observer at RightMove and Inbound Health and supports Flare Capital’s investments in Author Health, Eden Health, and Oshi Health. In addition, she led the firm’s Flare Scholar Ventures investments into Darby, Docent, Frame Fertility, Visana Health, and VivorCare. Before joining Flare Capital, Margaret partnered with entrepreneurs and investors to build executive teams and create the foundational human capital strategy for early-stage healthcare companies while at Oxeon Partners. Margaret also brings experience in healthcare-focused venture capital through her prior roles at 7wire Ventures and B Capital Group.
Margaret began her career as a clinical operations consultant with Huron Consulting Group’s healthcare practice. At Huron, she helped some of the nation’s leading academic medical centers adapt to changes in the industry through performance improvement initiatives resulting in a higher quality of patient care, greater interdisciplinary collaboration, and improved reimbursement. In addition to supporting her clients, she served as a leader of the care management methodology team who synthesized healthcare policy to create new solutions to improve patient status management, resource utilization, and discharge planning.
Margaret obtained her BA from Vanderbilt University with a major in Medicine, Health, and Society. She earned her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. While completing her MBA, Margaret was a Flare Capital Scholar. At the University of Chicago, she received the Madelon L. & Richard N. Rosett Merit Scholarship and the Hyde Park Angels Venture Capital Award. Margaret is a co-founder of Dropping Claims, a content platform powered by the HealthTech Grind, a community of 300+ women entrepreneurs, operators, and investors passionate about healthtech.
