Marcus Wallace, MD, MBA, FACP 

Chief Medical Officer and Vice President, Clinical Operations and Innovation

Marcus Wallace, MD is the Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Clinical Operations and Innovation. He is a board-certified physician in internal medicine and proven clinical and operational leader with extensive experience in the health care industry.

In his role, Dr. Wallace oversees care management, health care programs, clinical innovations and clinical effectiveness.

Dr. Wallace has more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry and previously served as Regional Vice President at Elevance Health overseeing clinical operations for almost 2 million Medicaid plan members in California, Nevada, and Washington. Prior roles also included four years at Centene/Louisiana Healthcare Connections as Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs where he was responsible for the largest state Medicaid plan, totaling more than 460,000 members. Dr. Wallace has also held leadership roles at UnitedHealthcare, Health Net, and Aetna.

Dr. Wallace received his undergraduate degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Louisiana State University Medical Center. Dr. Wallace is a fellow of the American Board of Internal Medicine and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis on health care from the George Washington University School of Business.

Dr. Wallace is an active volunteer in his community. He currently serves as a board member of the Council on Aging St. Tammany(COAST), the Healthier Northshore Committee and the Flare Capital Industry Advisory Board.
