Ken Howard is Vice President of Technology Services at UPMC Enterprises. He’s responsible for developing, enhancing, and providing Ahavi — a real-world data platform developed by UPMC Enterprises to provide de-identified health care data to enable researchers, scientists, and developers — to UPMC Enterprises portfolio companies and partners.
Ken has held various roles at UPMC Enterprises since joining in 2012. Since 2023, Ken has been focused on building out and delivering Technology Services capabilities which support UPMC portfolio companies, the broader UPMC system, and external software partners.
Ken served as Interim CTO for Pip Care, a UPMC Enterprises portfolio company, where he was responsible for delivering key technical milestones to support Pip Care’s commercialization and funding objectives.
Ken has also worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in roles developing and delivering technical strategy for AWS Federal Financial Customers.
Ken earned his bachelor’s degree in health management systems (HMS) from Duquesne University.
