Jill Ryan

Duke University

Jill is a second-year MPP student at the Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy studying health policy. Prior to graduate school, Jill worked in product at Optum on hospital discharge planning and PAC intake software that was formerly part of naviHealth.

At Duke, Jill has been involved in new ventures at the Duke Office of Commercialization & Translation, research at Duke Health Palliative Care, and writing for the North Carolina Journal of Medicine. She spent the summer working on the California Data Exchange Framework—California’s first statewide Health Information Exchange.

Jill grew up in Nashville and earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Notre Dame.
