Gary Wang
Gary is a fourth-year MD/MBA student at the University of Chicago, currently in his first year at Chicago Booth. He is passionate about leveraging medicine, policy, and innovation to advance health equity for underserved communities. Before medical school, he worked as an analyst at Aledade, a Series F company focused on enabling primary care practices to succeed in value-based care. While at UChicago, he has published peer-reviewed research on value-based payment models, diabetes care innovation, and expanding access to HIV testing and pre-exposure prophylaxis. He was also an inaugural Investment Fellow with Town Hall Ventures, helping to drive the firm’s Series C investment in Brave Health, a digital health startup serving Medicaid patients with serious mental illness, and is currently an associate with the Tarrson Impact Investment Fund at Booth in the health equity vertical. Originally from the Seattle area, Gary received his B.S. in Neuroscience and Health Policy from Duke University.
