Gabrielle Tellez
Gabrielle or “Gabi” Tellez is an Investment Analyst at Intermountain Ventures. Prior to Intermountain Ventures, Gabi worked with Intermountain Healthcare’s Foundry, the health systems internal innovation program. She has also worked at Leavitt Partners as a health policy consultant, where she ran the CARIN Alliance patient work group and specialized in digital health, interoperability, and pharmaceutical supply chain. She is published in the Journal of Pediatric Surgery as a result of her work in the fetal surgery department at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has presented her work on streamlining patient flow through the post anesthesia care unit at Keck Hospital of USC at numerous conferences and helped illustrate a book on Lean Healthcare Systems Engineering. She has volunteered with Operation Smile as a health systems strengthening researcher, where she analyzed the health systems of twenty African countries and provided recommendations on how the organization can better serve the respective countries. She has also worked as a project manager at a health tech startup where she oversaw the FDA Emergency Use Authorization application process for an at-home COVID-19 testing kit, and the development and implementation of an employee health application. She currently serves on the Visioning Committee for The Point Utah, Utah’s newest innovation community.
Gabi received a master’s in Healthcare Systems Engineering from Loyola Marymount University and a bachelor’s in Business Management from Brigham Young University.
