Ellie is a Principal in the Business Innovation Lab at MedStar Institute for Innovation, where she leads system-wide initiatives focused on evaluating, piloting, and implementing early-stage healthcare technologies. She works closely with clinicians, operational leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to assess emerging companies for strategic partnerships, commercial use, and potential investment, with a focus on clinical value, operational feasibility, and long-term scalability across a large health system.
Ellie brings a background in biomedical engineering and health administration, with prior experience spanning telehealth operations, clinical innovation, and program leadership. She is particularly interested in how early-stage health technologies move from concept to real-world clinical impact through rigorous evaluation, funding, and implementation.
Ellie holds a Master of Health Administration from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Duke University. Outside of work, she enjoys pottery, thrift shopping, and international travel.
