Chase joined Humana in 2022 as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, bringing more than 15 years of experience from Walmart, where he held senior leadership roles across finance, strategy, and business development in retail, technology, procurement, and healthcare.
During his tenure at Walmart, Chase played a pivotal role in forming ClarusONE, the second-largest drug purchasing consortium in the United States, a joint venture between Walmart and McKesson, where he later served as Chief Financial Officer. Earlier in his career, he led international business development initiatives spanning more than 15 countries, supporting Walmart’s expansion into Africa, Europe, and multiple Latin American markets.
Prior to joining Humana, Chase led Financial Planning and Performance Management (FP&A) for Walmart’s International segment, overseeing operations representing approximately $90 billion in revenue across more than 20 countries. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he also led Walmart’s international response efforts in close collaboration with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Department of State.
At Humana, Chase leads the Corporate Development function, with responsibility for mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and portfolio management.
Chase holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Evangel University and an MBA from Missouri State University. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife, Tara, and their two children, Ethan and Ella.
