Catherine Patton
Catherine Patton is a Principal in Corporate Development & Strategic Investments (CDSI) at GuideWell Mutual Insurance Corporation. She leads the Portfolio Management & Transaction Support Diligence team and provides leadership for corporate development initiatives and strategic investments for the GuideWell and Florida Blue family of companies. Previously, she was on CDSI’s Valuation & Analysis Support Services team.
Prior to joining CDSI in 2013, Patton spent 15 years in several leadership roles in Florida Blue, serving as Senior Director of various disciplines in Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Investments. Patton’s responsibilities included mergers & acquisitions and integration, Medical Loss Ratio (MLR), statutory reporting, Health Risk Based Capital, accounting research and implementation, audit coordination, bank reconciliation and various aspects of GAAP and Statutory reporting and analysis.
Prior to joining Florida Blue, Patton spent five years in the banking industry with responsibilities in Internal Audit and Investor Relations and five years in public accounting working for Arthur Andersen LLP and Ernst & Young, where she led financial audit and consulting engagements for clients in various industries including retail, banking, health care, real estate, and manufacturing.
Patton has an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, Carey Business School (Honors) and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Hawaii Pacific University (valedictorian, summa cum laude). She is a Certified Public Accountant.
