Andrew Knight

Andrew is a Senior Strategic Advisor on the Strategic Portfolio Management team; subunit within Blue Cross NC’s Strategy and Diversified Business Group (SDBG). He works to drive strategic and financial value from the Strategic Investment Portfolio that is a combination of direct equity investments in innovative healthcare companies and fund investments in private equity and venture capital funds. Additionally, enhancing operational efficiency and analytical investment reporting for current insights and future scenario planning. Overall, he helps manage the portfolio to be highly aligned with Blue Cross NC’s strategic goals in support of all divisions. Previously, he worked on the Business Analyst team supporting healthcare transformation initiatives in specialty alternative payment models, behavioral health, lab benefit management and COVID-19 impact tracking. Andrew earned a dual B.S. degree in Healthcare Management and Finance from Winston-Salem State University and holds an MBA in Health Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC).
