Alyssa started her career at ZS Associates, where she advised leading pharmaceutical and healthcare companies on innovation, digital transformation, and go-to-market strategy. In her roles, she partnered with C-suite executives to design innovation processes and incubate new technology pilots for large healthcare organizations. Alyssa helped restructure data and analytics teams to improve efficiency, supported digital transformation initiatives for Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies, and led commercial due diligence on pharmaceutical assets. Alyssa’s work spanned market analyses, operational strategy, and change management, giving her a deep understanding of how healthcare companies adopt new technologies and navigate complex markets.
Alyssa has also gained several valuable experiences across the venture world. She worked at 53 Stations, where she helped shape the firm’s healthcare investment strategy and supported investments in companies such as Labviva and Ketryx. At Necessary Ventures, she spearheaded sourcing and evaluating early-stage healthcare startups and mapping emerging trends, including women’s health. Alyssa also explored the venture studio model at M13’s Launchpad, where she helped identify key problem areas in the mental health space and develop potential startup concepts.
Alyssa earned her MBA from Harvard Business School, where she served on the Executive Board of the Women’s Student Association, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (Chemical Biology) from the University of Southern California.
Growing up in Southern California taught Alyssa to love all things wellness, whether it’s yoga (she’s a certified instructor), hiking, or trying out the latest wearable. The west coast also taught her to love great food. She loves cooking or trying out new restaurants and is always hunting for the next great spot.
