Ken Howard is vice president of Technology Services at UPMC Enterprises. He is responsible for developing, enhancing, and providing Ahavi — a real-world data platform developed by UPMC Enterprises to provide de-identified health care data to enable researchers, scientists, and AI developers — to UPMC Enterprises portfolio companies and partners.
Ken has held various roles at UPMC Enterprises since joining the division in 2012 and is a member of UPMC’s AI Governance Committee. Since 2023, Ken has been focused on building out and delivering Technology Services capabilities which support UPMC portfolio companies, the broader UPMC system, and external software partners.
Ken earned his bachelor’s degree in health management systems (HMS) from Duquesne University.
