Why We Invested

Hospital-at-Home adoption has been limited in the US, despite compelling evidence that well-monitored, at-home treatment can be safer, cheaper, and more effective than traditional hospital care. During the height of COVID-19, US hospitals were often running out of in-patient capacity. The CMS announced the Acute Hospital Care At Home (AhCaH) program in November 2020, which paved the way and allowed Medicare-certified hospitals to treat patients with inpatient-level care at home. Our firm is honored to be chosen by Allina Health to spin out its Hospital-at-Home and SNF-at-Home platforms and provide the capital necessary to help scale this best-in-class program throughout the nation.
